Sex Pistols' Glen Matlock Unleashes Acoustic Anarchy Tour on The Vagabond Miami

Glen Matlock may be a Rick Kid, but he certainly isn't some "middle-class mommy's boy."

Last year, the former bassist and co-founding member of legendary punk band Sex Pistols took a cheap shot to the nuts when ex-bandmate Steve Jones trashed his rock 'n' roll brother.

In an interview with Hustler (via NME), Jones accused Matlock of being a slave to his mother, alleging that if she didn't approve of the group's lyrics, little Glen would have to answer to mum.

Moreover, Jones suggested that Matlock's role in the Pistols' songwriting process was far less involved than previously stated.

Ah, Never Mind the Bollocks. Sure, Matlock hasn't achieved tremendous commercial success as a solo artist, but he's still a kick-ass musician. He's even got a great rock album, Born Running, out now.

So c'mon, Steve.

"If he was such a great songwriter, where are the songs after the Sex Pistols?... We wrote all the songs when Glen was in the band," Jones says, "but as far as the chemistry goes? I liked Sid [Vicious]."

Sure, Vicious replaced Matlock in Sex Pistols, but he also allegedly killed his girlfriend, Nancy Spungen, and then died of a drug overdose.

Meanwhile, a little over three decades later and Matlock's still living the dream, crisscrossing North America on a sweet motor coach, promoting a new record, and playing acoustic sets each night.
