That $515 million ballpark in Little Havana that Miami-Dade taxpayers helped build for Major League Baseball's biggest joke, Jeffery Loria's Miami Marlins, is finally being put to good use.
For only the third time in its 23-year history, the World Music Awards are coming to the United States. And not to some cliché metropolis like Las Vegas or Los Angeles. But the friggin' Gateway of the Americas -- Miami, Florida.
Best of all, proceeds from the show will benefit Sandy relief and earthquake reconstruction efforts in Haiti.

This year's nominees are a who's who of both Top 40 and country radio, disproving Don McLean's notion that music died on February 3, 1959.
Clearly, Carly Rae Jepsen is a far better entertainer than the ghosts of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and the Big Bopper combined. And Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend" might as well be crowned best song ever.
We're keeping our fingers crossed that the two superstars aren't robbed of their WMAs.
