Cat Shell rocks out.

Unlike most of the other bars in the area, Rodriguez said that the Hoxton has more of an intimate appeal. Although the decor gets a lot of praise, Rodriguez said that the specialty is drinks like the Eleven-11, Napolean Mandarin, peach liqueur, and pineapple topped with champagne, and beers like Milky Stout.

"The cocktails are very creative. A range of cocktails to make everybody happy. Very simple, not too many ingredients but good ingredients. Very well executed and not very expensive."

Much like the smooth sounds of Cat Shell last night, the music adds on to the whole beach vibe the Hoxton's got going on.

It's official: Santiago Rodriguez and Tomás Regalado unveil the Hoxton to Miami.

"A lot of the groups are more in the acoustic side like chill, a very jazzy vibe more like background music. Once in a while we have rock, but its more like loungey music."

The Hoxton is one of three projects Rodriguez has planned. Next door to the Hoxton, Rodriguez is working on a restaurant, Box Park and a night club, Harvey Wolf, both set to open this spring.

"I want to create a little area where you could come and spend the entire day starting dinner at Box Park, [then heading over to]the Hoxton to listen to live music, and move into Harvey Wolf for a crazy night."
