Who shot at Rick Ross?

Police are still investigating the drive-by shooting that nearly cost Ross and girlfriend Shateria L. Moragne-el their lives early Monday morning in Fort Lauderdale, sifting through video surveillance footage from a nearby building in an effort to identify the perpetrator--or perpetrators--responsible.

"The Fort Lauderdale Police Department has collected surveillance footage, however, it is not being released to anyone at this time," Detective DeAnna Garcia tells Crossfade.

And despite Internet rumors about the possibility of Gangster Disciples being responsible, police have also yet to release information about the vehicle from which the shots were fired or about any potential suspects.

UPDATE In the wake of the shooting, Rick Ross has hired a 24-hour armed security team.

UPDATE #2 Today, the City of Fort Lauderdale Police Department released 911 calls from the Rick Ross shooting.
