Who's got the herb? No doubt someone in this general vicinity. If you're embarking on the 311 Caribbean Cruise adventure, this is the perfect way to meet your fellow high-sailing ship mates, enjoy some food and drink specials, and most definitely some of those island rhythms.

Bands for Dance 4 Fundraiser with Askultura, Stereotype The Masses, Riot Agents, The Von, Milkspot and DJ Skidmark. 9 p.m., Friday, March 1, Churchill's Pub, 5501 NE 2 Ave., Miami; 305-757-1807; Ages 18 and up. $5 donation at the door.
Punks and rude boys aren't really known for their sophisticated dance skills, but that doesn't mean they don't want to share their hearts and dollars with those who've got dreams. For the fourth year running, Churchill's is raising money for the Michelle Cargas Scholarship Fund, which to date has awarded three inspired and committed dance students at USF with tuition to follow their hopes to the stars. And with Askultura and company in tow, it's going to be one hell of a hair-raising bash.

Afrobeta with Stokeswood. 10 p.m., Saturday, March 2, The Stage, 170 NE. 38 St., Miami; 305-576-9577; Ages 21 and up. Free for ladies, $10 for men at the door. Get your wonky beat fix from this local twosome as they make love to live synths and deep, bassy dance bumps. Wikipedia says they're a "Cuban-American Electro Funk musical band." You know we love them, because we named them Best Band in 2010. Plus, they've graced stages from Ultra Music Festival in Miami to Korea. Support the 305 and get your jive on.
