La Nueva Onda Latina. Monday, February 4, Upstairs At The Van Dyke, 846 Lincoln Rd., Miami Beach. No cover, $5 table charge. Adrian Guerra is a local singer-songwriter who has won the John Lennon and Billboard World songwriting contests. He was born in Illinois, and raised in Venezuela by Cuban and Ecuadorian parents, sings, plays the cuatro, and the guitar. Showcasing other great local talent, he joins forces tonight with the inimitable Randy Singer, who made the world's first easy-listening harmonica album.
Salsa Tuesdays with Melina Almodovar. Tuesday, February 5, Tapas Y Tintos, 448 Espanola Way, Miami Beach. Free, and ladies get two-for-one drinks from 7 to 9:30 p.m. The self proclaimed Muñeca De La Salsa is not only competing to be the Ultimate Miami Girl, she will also teach you and yours how to shake what your momma gave ya, at this weekly salsa fiesta on the beach.
