Valentine's in Miami: Lisa Lisa, Information Society and Other '80s Freestyle Legends

It's February, and that means Cupid's arrow may soon pierce your little heart and cripple your vulnerable soul with love. Or maybe it's something that feels like love, but actually turns out to be a costly gaffe. Whatever.

At the end of the day, we're all just a little "Lost in Emotion" and really just looking for something "Louder than Love."

No, not an orgasm, pervert! Though it'd be nice every now and again, right?

What we really want, however, is heart-shaped box of blow, comfortable shoes, and pretty-ish date to answer Information Society's ever-pressing question: "What's on Your Mind?"

Together with fellow 80s freestyle heavyweights Judy Torres, Lisa Lisa, former members of TKA, and many, many more, Information Society is just one of at least eleven acts playing "Legends of the 80s," an aural, "Valentine's weekend treat" going down Saturday, February 16 at BankUnited Center.

A retro flashback concert of this magnitude hasn't been witnessed since Stevie B tore the roof off Marlins Park following a rare Fish victory against the Philadelphia Phillies on September 28, 2012.

Freestyle music is Miami music, damn it. Love it or leave it, hippie.
