Rick Ross Isn't Scared by Failed Assassination Attempt, Wale Says Drive-By Is No "Joke"
On the same day that Funkmaster Flex debuted the MMG Kingpin's "Fuckin' Problem" freestyle, Rozay was all smiles after leaving a Beverly Hills restaurant yesterday with his head held high and puffing on a fat stogie like a Bawse who'd cheated death just ten days prior, reports TMZ. After all, he did cheat death last week after he and girlfriend Shateria L. Moragne-el were targeted in an early-morning drive-by in Fort Lauderdale.

But the Teflon Don's brush with death also triggered an influx of insensitive social commentary. And Rozay's MMG comrade Wale thinks it should stop.
"It's a joke to y'all because y'all see him on TV everyday but what if that was your friend?" Wale pondered on Atlanta's Streetz 94.5 earlier this week. "That's my friend. I was talking to him last night about the [Super Bowl]. So, what y'all think is a joke is somebody's health. I know his children. God forbid something happens. And I just lost one of my brothers so I don't even play around with that stuff. I don't play."
Neither does Ross.
Since the foiled January 28 murder plot, the Grammy-nominated MC has beefed up his security detail and kept a low profile. He also hasn't publicly commented on the shooting.
On Sunday, however, Ross is scheduled to attend the 55th annual Grammy Awards; his latest studio record, God Forgives, I Don't, is nominated for Best Rap Album. If the larger-than-life rap deity decides to walk the red carpet, he'll almost certainly be pressed by the world's media to comment on the near-fatal incident. And that, of course, may actually be a fucking problem for at least for some reporters.
The 55th Annual Grammy Awards air live from Los Angeles on CBS this Sunday, February 10 at 8 p.m. EST.
