Dirtybird Players BBQ WMC 2013 Lineup: Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, Special Guests De La Soul, and More

These days, Dirtybird Records is almost as famous for its grilled meats as its ass-clapping beats. Blame a successful ten-year run of the San Francisco crew's infamous renegade Golden Gate BBQ parties, not to mention last year's inaugural WMC installment which broke the party concept to Dirtybird's legions of international fans.

2012's Dirtybird BBQ party in Miami also saw the crew breaking WMC's traditional dance party mold by throwing hip-hop into the mix.

Phife Dawg of East Coast hip-hop legends A Tribe Called Quest joined the Dirtybirds onstage for a guest MC performance. And while it might have seemed left-field for an "EDM" party, it was actually pretty fitting of a label that takes many of its stylistic cues from deep hip-hop and booty bass.

Dirtybird's hip-hop crossover impulse certainly went over well enough with the heads in 2012 that they're doing it again on March 21 with another legendary '90s hip-hop act: De La Soul.

"I am so excited to continue where we left off last year by bringing another iconic hip-hop group to our Miami BBQ," says Dirtybird's Claude VonStroke. "I think everyone will agree that De La Soul at Dirtybird is not to be missed."

Of course, De La Soul is just the cherry on top of a whopping all-star Dirtybird lineup for this party: Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin, Eats Everything, Catz n Dogz, French Fries, J Philip, Worthy, Leroy Peppers, and Justin Jay will all be throwing down.

And let's not forget the chow, lovingly prepared by Dirtybird's own grill master who they're flying in from San Francisco especially for this event. Forget your diet, you're gonna burn off all those calories bouncing to the relentless bass before the party's even over.
