Over the weekend, fans filled the Fillmore Miami Beach for a sold-out night full of rhythm and romanticism as 24-year-old Spanish singer Pablo Alborán performed for the first time in the United States.

Earlier this month, when we here at Crossfade spoke with Alborán, he confessed: "I want to thrill people with my music."

And at the Fillmore, he certainly did.

In just three years, Alborán has become a pop phenomenon in his native Spain and all around the world. And his most recent Spanish tour was such a huge success that he decided to set out for Latin America and the United States.

On Saturday night, his trek across the Americas began in Miami.

The show got started at 8:30 p.m., with Alborán singing "Toda la noche".

The crowd welcomed him with flags and banners from all over the world. The setting was very intimate, and accompanied by his full band, Alborán played hits from each of his three albums: Pablo Alborán, En Acústico, and Tanto.

It was difficult to tell which of Alborán's songs were the most popular.

But it was clear that every person in the audience was a big fan. They sang all the songs from the beginning to the end.
