Oh, James Murphy. The former LCD Soundsystem frontman, DFA Records founder, entrepreneur, and generally amazing human will soon be gracing our city once again.

He'll return to Bardot Miami (where last year's Red Bull Music Academy Couch Session was held during the inaugural III Points Festival) to spin some wax and rock our souls.

Now, anyone who is remotely familiar with Murphy's all-around genius will understand that such an intimate night is not to be missed. We personally are shaking with excitement at the thought of bumpin' our booties to his sweet, sweet grooves. And no doubt, so are the Bardot folks.

As the club's booking agent, David Sinopoli says his and Bardot's relationship with Murphy and DFA started around 2010.

Being an avid fan of the LCD Soundsystem ringleader, he confesses: "When I got the opportunity to start doing the booking over at Bardot, I was always shooting to get anything DFA-related into the room."

Over the past few years, Sinopoli's growing relationship with Murphy's crew has provided for some incredible nights at Bardot, including sets from the Juan MacLean and Holy Ghost! But there just seems to be something extra special about Murphy himself that guarantees an evening in the club will be one to remember.

"I think anytime you have a music connoisseur like James in any small space, it's a really special experience, because he's really connected to the people there. He has such a good understanding of music, especially dance music," Sinopoli raves. "This guy doesn't just understand the past and the present; he knows what the future of quality dance music is too."

And there's a reason he isn't playing places like LIV or Wall or Mansion.

"He and DFA demand a different type of crowd, and we love the clientele that comes through with DFA, because they were listening to indie rock music when it was just on the cusp; they were a part of that movement. A little bit older, a little bit more sophisticated, a little bit more informed musically -- like James."

Hopefully, this audience will soak it all in, rather than assume the Instagram paparazzi pose, which Murphy has been known to frown upon. So, DFA fans, just chuck those phones away, slip on some dancing shoes, and get ready for a one-of-a-kind night with the king of all things boogie, the James Murphy.
