Only about 72 hours have passed since the end of Ultra 2014.

And naturally, that means we should start immediately planning for next year's edition of the massive EDM festival.

The good news: As they've typically done in recent years, Ultra organizers have already provided us with the 2015 dates.

The bad news: It still doesn't look like the fest will be returning to the two-weekend format any time soon.

In 2013, Ultra expanded to six whole days, spanning the last two weekends in March. All tickets for the second weekend were quickly gone. But the first was slow to sell out.

So, for this year's fest, the organizers scaled back to the traditional three-day, one-weekend plan. Yet again, though, tickets were slow to sell out.

Meanwhile, there were more serious problems. Namely, the trampling of security guard Erica Mack by gatecrashers, which stirred local politicians like Mayor Tomás Regalado and City Commissioner Marc Sarnoff to call for Ultra to leave Miami.

So the real question for Ultra 2015 isn't when it will happen. But where.

You should move it to Austin's new formula1 racetrack!! I know theres nothing like South Beach Miami but Austin would love us some amazing EDM in our neck of the woods!

Listen, I get that the music isnt for everyone, but only those who actually live in the downtown area have reason to complain. Even still, a little inconvenience for 3 days is nothing compared to the amount of revenue it creates for this city. Ultra helps South beach as well as its the main draw fpr tourists that come down for a week as part of wmc. I dont go anymore, but im not blind either to the positives it brings for our city. I dare the haters to actually look at the facts and compare them to other festivals. Ultra actually does a great job if you really care to research instead of throwint stones bc you happen to not like the music.

The post appears to be deleted but I put the link up... Crossfade hasn't mentioned anything. It was on March 12th!

I was wondering the same thing. I looked all through the wall for the Lana Del Ray post to enter the contest and I couldn't find it.

End black Friday... People were also trampled during those events too!

Well the problem is that they dont have much regulations. Make some sort of plan and well make the dam event at least 18 and over. Oh put barb wire on top of the fence and call it a day

The city of Miami would be ridiculous to give up bay front and the amount of $$$ they make from it...Compare ultra to other events of the same scale, and they're actually doing a great job.

How about never down here. Instead of ultra they should have an event like the purge

Vicky, it's not uncommon. Ultra does it every year before confirming the venue.

I don't like ultra, but trampling can happen anywhere. Look at black Friday! And that's during the holidays!

Unless the mayor has a replacement event to make up for the $70+ million that ultra brings in ain't no way it's leaving Miami.

So Miami... You think people that came from far away jumped the fence? Not with those pre-paid tickets...

Fuck that I've been attending for 13 years nothing compares to bay front parks location in conjunction of all the wmc events its a world class setting that will not be beat at any other location !!!!!!

I honestly don't think Ultra itself is the problem. It's the people who attend and the small/cramped venue where it takes place.

Take it to South Beach. Do it the week before the Urban Beach Weekend. When the dust settles, they can rebuild Miami Beach again.

Ultra should just stop in general, EDM is terrible as it is and has no talent in its industry.
