Time to grind in the 305.

It's Memorial Day weekend, AKA Urban Beach Week. As usual, South Beach and the mainland will be offering a great variety of new and old, ratchet and refined, as well as some straight gangsta lineups.

So start practicing your twerk, get your 26-inch chrome rims installed, and stack that paper high. Things are about to get ever so slightly turnt up.

Here are the ten best parties during Memorial Day weekend 2014 in Miami.

Hot 97's Takeover. Hosted by Love & Hip Hop's Erica Mena. With DJ Camilo, Fergie & Springer, Massive B, and DJ Young Chow. 11 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at Cameo, 1445 Washington Ave., Miami Beach; 305-532-2667; cameomiami.com. Ages 21 and up. This legendary New York City hip-hop and R&B station is always on point with its classic yet eclectic mix of tunes. So expect a p-a-r-t-y that wouldn't seem out of place in an old House Party movie when Hot 97's top DJs take over the Cameo decks. Also, Erica Mena is fiiiiiine.

Fabolous. Presented by Headliner Market Group. With DJ Stevie J, Iron Lyon, and Fly Guy. 10 p.m. Thursday, May 22, at Story, 136 Collins Ave., Miami Beach; 305-538-2424; storymiami.com. Tickets cost $30 plus fees via wantickets.com. Ages 21 and up. Dark, moody, soulful -- he's Fabolous. Now, hopefully, for Memorial Day weekend, the Brooklyn fave will be spitting tracks from his new, long-awaited album, Loso's Way 2: Rise to Power. Because if lead single, "When I Feel Like It," is any indication, that will mean the party plan just might include fast cars, loose cash, and public fellatio. As Fab might say: "Err!"

Oh that's right. Thug gangster trash fest is in town Memorial Day weekend. If you enjoy seeing 2' deep piles of trash in the street, fights, men pissing everywhere, the streets littered with belligerent, and 99% of the crowd unable to speak proper english then by all means, go to south beach and enjoy. bring your bullet proof vest.

@Sophie1980  I wonder if u have the same bigoted view towards Ultra weekend, which involves drugged up white kids doing the same things you just mentioned. Or do you accept the hell they put downtown thru because they look more like you? Didn't your mother tell you never judge a book by its cover? If you feel so strongly leave and take your hateful view with you.

@Voice_of_Reason @Sophie1980 --- There are alone 1,200 911 calls in South Beach for Memorial Day weekend, over 140 misdemeanors arrests and 30 felony arrests,a murder every year and last year a guy chewed another guys face off.  Add to that despite the crowd, businesses and restaurants have complained they make less money during this week.  Ultra makes money, and while kids are doing drugs (which is bad) there is no where near the violent crimes.  Stop playing the race card

@Voice_of_Reason @Sophie1980 --All these crimes and police working triple overtime.  They have to call in back up from other cities.  Taxpayers pay millions off dollars to have 10x the police there for Memorial Day Weekend, and there are still shootings and killings.

Its bad for business, put in a wine or art event, let the global millionaires pour into our city to spend there money and help our businesses
