Better Than: The fact that the phrase "Turn Down For What" will never get old.

Yes, we said so. "Turn Down For What" came into our lives March of this year. And no, we aren't sick of it.

That is because, really, why should we turn down? Down? Not an option. And that was most definitely the case at last night's kickoff of the two-day iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party 2014.

iHeart Radio puts on a fantastic program. Many of us locals are a little confused of what it is exactly. That's because most of us can't get in.

For once, you can't just call up your boy to get on the list. It's hard, we know.

To get into this concert of all concerts, you need to be a guest of the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, and with your room, comes entrance to the show.

All guests began their evening on the lawn of the beautiful Fontainebleau. We mean, is there anything more beautiful than that hotel? Sure, the $25 vodka sodas are less than ideal, but sneak in a flask like the rest of us.

On said lawn, it wasn't just a stage and a crowd. iHeartRadio and its crew took this simple spread of beachside grass and essentially turned it into a mini Ultra Music Festival. Later, Tiësto literally did later, but we are getting ahead of ourselves. So many lights, so much social media feeds coming to life, and it all was being fed live to the world via hundreds of cameras.

Just as most of the fans were waiting in line to get their first of many cocktails, the lights came down and the beautiful mug of Mr. Lil Jon came onto the screen.

Oh, it's the face only a mother could love, but one that we all do too. That's because if Jon is in the building, fun will be had.

When we grow up, we want to be like LJ. He DJs, screams "Yeahhhh," and jumps around to get the crowd insanely pumped. Which he did.

If you ever want to get your night started right, get Lil on board. Oh, and how did we forget that he brought a special guest on stage with him? That surprise being Steve Aoki.

With a little intermission from Nick Cannon, in an outfit he borrowed from Mariah Carey's "Heartbreaker" video, informed us that Iggy Azalea and her ass would be joining us.

Well, he didn't mention the ass, but that is what we were looking forward to seeing in the flesh.

All the people with the pink bracelets are HIRED to look good for the cameras. I waited in line for 4 hours with my daughter (so she could be up front) only to find a bunch of pink braceleted people already in front. That was not part of the deal when I purchased this, and I am so horrified that that is what Iheartradio thinks is important. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE!!!! Oh, and I met the president of SE florida Clear Channel the next day in the pool. Excuse me, but clear channel is losing me as a customer after that BS. If that's the way it's to be at one of these events, customers should be so informed at time of purchase.

I quit working at shoprite to work online and with a little effort I easily bring in around $45 to 85 per/h. Without a doubt, this is the easiest and most financially rewarding job I've ever had. I actually started 6 months ago and this has totally changed my life. For more info visit my user name link............

@speedy36

Why would you take your daughter to that crappy concert ( I use the term loosely)? All of the acts that performed were manufactured, pop crap. You should take your daughter to a real concert, with real musicians next time.

You had to win on a radio station or buy a 3 night hotel stay at the hotel......not cheap!

Yes, I agree, but I have to say I think she is so funny because she sounds so ghetto.....

You are so right! But, it was for her bday. Unfortunately, there are no good radio stations in SE Florida - it's pop, latin, or ridiculously overplayed classic rock. With the advent of the internet and youtube, she is exposed to all this crap. When I was growing up, I listened to what my older siblings did - Spirit, Deep Purple, Chicago Transit Authority, etc. how can I prevent her from liking current untalented pop singers when she's surrounded by it? Maybe I need to move north.....because SE Florida is totally VAPID.

@speedy36 I hear you Speedy. The only radio station I listen to is Big 105.9 and I'm getting pretty sick of it. I'm a rock fan, and it sucks that we haven't had a modern rock station on the air for almost four years now. How old is your daughter? I have a feeling that she'll grow out of her listening to crappy music phase. Kids just don't know any better.

We need to figure out how to start a pirate radio station!!!!

She's 12....and I can't even listen to 105.9. They have ruined songs by playing the same thing over and iver again. I highly recommend satellite radio - you have to pay, but at least you can hear all different kinds of music. And yes, I think the last good station here was 103.5, which was once a pretty good alt rock station.

I am NOT a good teenybopper mom......
