The Moz is oh so sick. Again.

When the post-punk crooner announced his 2014 U.S. tour, we here at Crossfade joked about his recent history of repeated concert cancellations caused by food poisoning, extreme flu, and other health issues. "Let us pray that the Pope of Mope does not fall ill again."

Well, we got our wish. But the rest of America did not. In fact, Morrissey caught a cold in Miami that canceled his entire U.S. tour.

The Moz, according to his reps, came down with a nasty virus while visiting sunny South Florida. He received immediate medical care in Miami. But soon, the sickness turned into a full-blown respiratory infection.

So over the past week, he postponed and rescheduled concerts in Atlanta, Atlantic City, Washington D.C., and Baltimore. There were still hopes of a recovery.

But now the Pope of Mope has nixed the rest of his American shows.

"It is with great sadness that the remainder of the US Tour has been cancelled," ," his reps write in the official statement. "The respiratory infection Morrissey contracted in Miami has worsened, and in the interest of making a full recovery, all further touring plans have been halted. Morrissey thanks his fans for their compassion, understanding, and well-wishes during this difficult period as he recuperates."

But Miami isn't the only one to blame. Apparently (and oddly), the crooner and his superfans at semi-official site True to You have insisted that tour opener Kristeen Young also bears the burden of this outbreak. They claim that she was patient zero.

"Difficulties had arisen on May 31st following Kristeen Young's opening set at the Miami Knight Concert Hall," a news item posted to the site reads, "after which Kristeen confessed to 'a horrendous cold', the symptoms of which were passed on to Morrissey."

For her part, Young denies the accusation, posting a (now-deleted) message to her Facebook: "I had an allergy attack that was over within 16 hours ... I am very sorry that Morrissey is not feeling well. But I will not tolerate these lies ... particularly about my health. This is really too much and bizarre."

So let us just be thankful that the Moz isn't pissed with sunny, virus-y South Florida.

Oh the irony. To catch a cold in the hottest place on earth. The rest of country was freezing a few months back and we're at the beach.
