| No Rusko for you, Miami. |
Update: Identity's organizers have release another statement saying tickets for Miami's canceled/postponed Identity stop will be honored at tomorrow's show in Tampa. Road trip! (Full statement after the jump.)
Dammit, Hurricane Irene!
Despite
NOAA's prediction that the storm will skirt the state and stay well to the east,
Identity Festival's organizers aren't taking any chances and have decided to postpone (cancel?) the Miami stop of the tour.
No other dates, including Wednesday's stop in Tampa, will be affected.
According to the statement, a potential rescheduled date will be announced next Monday, August 29.
Scheduled to appear at the Miami date at the
Klipsch Amphitheater were acts like Kaskade, Booka Shade, Steve Aoki, White Shadow, the Crystal Method, Rusko, Holy Ghost!, and more.
The precaution is perhaps for the best. Even if Irene doesn't directly hit the city, high winds and rain can be dangerous. Just look at the Pukkelpop festival in Belgium,
where a severe storm killed five people and left 71 injured.Identity's full statement after the jump:
