Before the beef ... Jeezy, Khaled, and Ricky Rozay.

Pop the Dom. Buss that wallet open. Hit the ATM. Repeat.

If you've never done Memorial Day in Miami, here is a warning: It's going to get expensive. The bottles aren't cheap. And neither are the hookups. But if you wanna party (or you know, remember the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces) like a boss, you can't be counting dollar bills.

Go raid the bank, rent a 'Rari, and -- to quote veteran baller -- Young Jeezy, "kill the club."

Don't let the suits and ties fool you. The Brass Knuckles dudes are badasses.

If partying with The Knocks and Brass Knuckles are any indicator of what's in store for Memorial Day weekend, then you better put your party pants on and get ready for some non-stop EDM and dance action.

The best part of it all, you don't have to wait until the weekend to get your fist-pumping juices flowing. There are plenty of bashes going down all week that'll do just that.

Check out the six best SoBe parties this week.

Best of the Best 2013 Festival Guide, From Beenie Man to Beres Hammond

King Beenie Man's gonna be headlining Best of the Best 2013.

Come summer, reggae festivals are as commonplace in the States as Bob Marley tees are at reggae festivals.

Held every Memorial Day weekend in downtown Miami since 2007, Best of the Best is one of the only annual fests in the U.S. that puts the emphasis squarely on dancehall, and it's certainly the largest.

After taking on more and more hip-hop acts in its last few editions, this year's festival returns to its roots with a strictly Caribbean lineup.

Miami's Haitian Compas Festival 2013: A Four-Part Guide, From DJ Griot to Djakout

Since 1955, Haiti has offered the world a uniquely danceable and infectiously sexy music known as compas, konpa, and kompa. The Kreyol language has only been standardized in written form since 1979, so there are several ways to spell everything.

But what has hindered Kreyol's literal documentation has strengthened its oral tradition and imbued its speech patterns with a rhythmic musicality all their own. The Haitian cultural traditions of playful double entendres, shifting shades of meaning, and colorful aphorisms charge its music with a literary quality that highlight its rhythmic fervor.
