Michael Jackson and Spike Lee's Bad 25 Movie: "Get to It, This Is a Bliss-Out"

Look, if there's any part of you that thinks you might be interested in catching BAD 25, Spike Lee's two-hour celebration/behind-the-scenes history of Michael Jackson's 1988 Bad LP, then seriously, get to it. This is a bliss-out.

The performance footage alone is thrilling, and Lee has augmented it with archival treasures: dance rehearsals where Jackson and choreographers Jeffrey Daniel and Caszper Canidate seem lost in the joy of invention; recordings of vocal exercises revealing Jackson's rarely plumbed lower registers; video shot by Jackson himself of Siedah Garrett singing her then-new song (co-written with Glen Ballard) "Man in the Mirror" to Jackson and Quincy Jones.

Even without such finds, Lee's talking heads would be worth a ticket.

Sandwiched between Usher on May 18 and a "special Thursday" performance by the future American Idol champ and runner-up on May 31, Pitbull has been added to the mainstream list of musical acts tackling the Today Show stage as one of several participating in the year's Toyota Summer Concert Series.

Mr. Worldwide is scheduled to hit Rockefeller Plaza on Friday, May 25, the same day Men in Black III opens in theaters, where he'll likely perform that film's theme, Back in Time, and rep Miami to nth degree.

However, he's not the only Summer Concert Series act claiming 305.

Premio Lo Nuestro Predictions, Inspired by Failed Pitbull Interview Attempt

PitbullAfterpartyFreeTickets.jpg
The never-ending awards show season reaches its apex next week when Univision beams the Premio Lo Nuestro to millions of families all across the Americas.

On Thursday, February 16, the Spanish-language network will honor a cross-section of Latin music artists at the American Airlines Arena. Among them, Miami's own Pitbull, who's up for a pair of Urbano awards including both album and artist of the year.

While we would've preferred locking down an interview with Armando Christian Perez for this piece, getting the Dr. Pepper spokesman on the phone is incredibly difficult. So here's Plan B, our arbitrary Premio Lo Nuestro predictions.
