MasterMind Awards Submission Deadline (January 7) Fast Approaching

​This week, the whole world seems to be buried under craploads of wrapping paper and credit card bills. But we know you're out there, Miami artists in need of cash, and we're trying to hand you some free money. For the second year, we're awarding genius grants to deserving, independent creatives in the 305. Why? Because we need you guys to keep making and doing cool things so we have more to write about here at Cultist.

So stop procrastinating and send in your submission to either the sound, narrative, or visual competition. The deadline for the MasterMind awards is January 7, and that's just two and half weeks away. Read on for submission instructions and how you could win $1,500.

1.    Visual (Fine arts i.e., painting, drawing, sculpture, visual installations)
2.    Narrative (Film, theater, poetry, performance art)
3.    Sound (Music, sound installations)
