Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom Reportedly Renovating a Miami Mansion

Y'know what's great about having tons and tons of money? You can buy really expensive things without ever having to use them.

Take celebrity-by-circumstance Khloe Kardashian and her husband, NBA player Lamar Odom, for example. The couple has reportedly purchased and is renovating a mansion in Miami.

But don't start bitching about film crews and paparazzi just yet. The pair's not moving here. The new $3 million digs is just a place for the two to crash on the off chance they find themselves in town.

According to FitPerez.com, Kardashian told reporters, "Lamar and I have a house in Miami now under construction. We love the area, the people, the fun spirit. Lamar used to play for the Miami Heat. And we have a ball when we go there. I wish we had time to go more often."

You don't have to convince us that Miami is a damn fun place to be. Still, a five-bedroom, 8,500-square-foot crash pad in Miami doesn't sound like the soundest investment the two could make, especially now that they've put their reality TV show on indefinite hiatus so they can "take a little time off ... to be with family time, kids, basketball, Olympics, you never know. We have a lot on our plate right now."

But on the upside, maybe ditching the reality gig will free up the extra time they need to, y'know, actually spend some time in the giant, pricey house they just renovated.
