Wynwood Named the Sixth Most Stylish Neighborhood in the World
- Wynwood Ranks Among the Most Hipster-Friendly Neighborhoods in the Country
So important, in fact, that Complex named Wynwood the sixth most stylish neighborhood in the world.
In "The 50 Most Stylish Neighborhoods in the World," Complex touts Wynwood's arts scene, packed with galleries and events like Second Saturday Art Walk, as crucial to its stylish cred. Rubell, Snitzer Gallery, and Wynwood Walls all get a name drop. Actual purveyors of style in the area don't rate quite as high, apparently; a generic description of the area's five-block fashion district names only general "merchants" who have "rejuvenated" the area.
Still, art and fashion go hand in hand -- just look at the interesting looks around you at this Saturday's arts stroll. And boutiques in the area like The Kult are pushing edgy style from the inside.
Wynwood is sandwiched on Complex's list between Sodermalm in Stockholm, Sweden at number seven and Kreuzberg-Friedrichshain in Berlin at number five. Only one U.S. neighborhood, New York's SoHo (number three), outranked Wynwood. And as for the most stylish neighborhood in the world? Paris's 1st Arrondissement.
