Streisand not only directed, but acted in, co-wrote, and co-produced Yentl. That year she became the first woman to win the Golden Globe for directing, and she's still the only woman to have won for directing. In her acceptance speech, Streisand said that she hoped her win would help lead the way for other talented women.
