Five Reasons Miami Is a Better City Than Chicago

Let's be straight up. Chicago is a cool city. We actually have a lot in common. We both fired Ozzie Guillen; we both have serious problems with crime; our political corruption is legendary. Hell, Miami got love for the 312.

Just not while the Bulls are trying (and failing) to knock the Heat out of the playoffs.

Under any other circumstances, Chicago, we'd tell you how much we respect your Wrigley Field and your Oprah and your giant metal blob at Millennium Park. But not today. People in the Windy City are real, but in honor of tonight's game four and the pending end of the Bulls' season -- and quite frankly, because we truly believe Miami is a better city, in so many ways -- here are seven reasons why.

LEBRON SMASH.
The LeBron Seal of Approval
Before King James made his decision, the Bulls were one of the teams in the running for his talents. Fans were licking their chops, assuming LeBron would choose Chi-town. He didn't. He's here. And he's won two MVPs while Chicago's MVP sits on the bench, just watching his team fade from the Playoffs.

Evil genius Pat Riley.
Don Riley
Pat Riley is an NBA gangsta. As a player for the Lakers, he won championships. As a coach, he won championships. And as an executive, he wins championships. Who's your man? Rahm Emmanuel?

" Miami is a better city, in so many ways -- here are seven reasons why."

I count five, and two, maybe even three, are the same: the basketball team (which most people in Miami didn't know existed pre-2006). Having lived in both cities for several years, Chicago blows Miami out of the water in almost every aspect: food, culture, things to do, actual passionate fans that support a team even when they're not winning, seasons, music, and the list goes on.

Chicago is clearly the more diverse multicultural city. Miami is a Mess. I'm from Chicago. I live here in Miami and the difference is so damn drastic. Chicago has it over us.

I've lived in both cities. Miami's beaches are amazing. The people are beautiful (but under educated) and way too obsessed with rims and swagger. The Latin vibe is awesome...you know, dancing in the super market isles, being loud all the time, general not giving a fuck. Its a great city, but when it comes down to it Chicago is a way better city. The architecture, the parks, the art, music and culture that is constantly coming through. Not to mention the amazingly humble yet sophisticated local music scene. Our cuisine is on NYC levels. Suffice to say, there are douches of different kinds in both cities. Our gov't is totally corrupt on world record breaking levels. Our crime is significantly worse than yours. I'll keep living here and visiting Miami in those cold, snowy winter months you mentioned. The winter does suck here.
