Mag Entertainments Apologizes for "Ghetto" Remark

Categories: Flotsam

Last week, Riptide got into the holiday spirit with a little rant about a statement made on a Memorial Day party flyer. Among the comments, we also received an apology from Marcelo Medina of Mag Entertainments, a.k.a. the promotions company that put its foot in its mouth:

I sincerely apologize for what is an honest mistake made by one of our PR’s due to his lack of thorough knowledge in the English language, due to the promptness of time in which the flyer was posted we neglected to double check the text as it is usually done when he writes something. At the same time Karu&Y’s Rob Garcia approved the flyer without knowledge of the text. This was a huge mistake made by our company and we compel an apology as this text in no way reflects the opinions or beliefs of our association… I apologize to you and to everyone that had to read this as this once again in no way reflects our companies opinion I am deeply sorry for the trouble this has caused and I assure you that it will not happen again.

Way to own up Mag. As Oscar Wilde said, and thankfully for you, "The public is wonderfully tolerant. It forgives everything except genius." --Raina McLeod
