The Party Crasher - Lil Wayne's Birthday Bash
Cash Money Millionaires came out to celebrate at Lil Wayne’s 25th Birthday party Friday night. Miami VIPs and hip-hop’s finest stepped afoot a three-story yacht for a four-hour extravaganza sippin’ on Patron and bubbly. The black-and-white soiree had party guests running home to change, advised they could not step onto the yacht if violating the dress code. The flapper-themed gala had ladies clad in corsets, pearls and feathered hair pieces – because ladies love any excuse to dress up for slutty costume parties. Those aboard the S.S. Weezy were treated to five-star service, greeted with casino vouchers for black jack and roulette, open bar and total freedom from the 5-0 in honor of Cash Money’s notorious Hot Boy.
At about 9 p.m., Rick Ross left his post at the port of Miami and booked it over to the Bayside Marina. Boasting his blinging pinky ring, Ross ordered Hennessey on ice and posed with a few fans. None other than DJ Khaled emceed the boat bash touring the party with his wireless mic. Chillin’ near the black jack tables, Slim Thug played a few hands, forgoing chivalrous behavior, demanding a girl rise up from his seat. Juelz Santana sat nearby looking bored, not standing out in his white suit. Dre from the Terror Squad mingled with the ladies on the deck with the crew from 730 Productions nearby, awaiting the guest of honor. Weezy’s white Phantom birthday cake sat alongside a sign that read “Please do not touch the cake.”
The Fireman rolled in 50-deep at about 10 p.m. with an entourage from Cash Money trailing. Weezy made his grand entrance with Baby, T.I. and Mack Maine (who were celebrating T.I.’s big day last week in ATL). Expectedly uniformed in white, Diddy strolled in for a toast to Tha Carter. Guests mauled the dance floor as Khaled announced the new and unreleased remix of “I’m So Hood” followed by other hot tracks, “Duffle Bag Boy,” “Leather So Soft” and “Brown Paper Bag,” which had Birdman waving his stack of bills in the air like the No. 1 Stunner he truly is. Soon after, Lil Wayne moved his party upstairs to a VIP deck with an indoor pool table and outdoor blunt fest. Diddy disappeared following his arrival, leading some to believe he was airlifted in a helicopter ... or perhaps making nice with the ladies in a private cabin as the boat cruised around the bay.
Around midnight, guests sang happy birthday with a champagne toast to Weezy F. Baby. Making his way into the spotlight, Lil Wayne announced upcoming collaborations with the return of Hot Boys and his new album dropping in 2008. The news was welcomed with hoots and hollers as the anchor dropped. As guests disembarked, they grabbed party favors with featured cigars (sans ganja). -- Tracy Block
