The Party Crasher - Rick Ross Trilla Release Party at Mansion

I’ve always wondered if certain Miami hip-hop headliners made the national VIP roster, but in Rick Ross’ case, he might as well be one of those American dudes who tours Asian landmarks and blows them away by the millions. Okay, so some of you may think Rick Ross ain’t the next best thing compared to a hefty plate of Mongolian beef, but I do! Even through waiting on a “media” line for an hour outside Mansion, this blogger withstood the fever Monday night and had no complaints. My company consisted of a few close friends and NFL up-and-comer Cecil Sapp of the Denver Broncos who could not have been more calm considering the never-ending thread streaming down Washington Ave. Following his entrance, Ross and friends graced the stage as a tribute to The Boss’ new album Trilla, which hits stores this week.

Rick Ross celebrated the release of new album Trilla at signature spot Mansion with a packed house on Monday, March 11.

Joined on stage by close buddies DJ Khaled, Flo-Rida, Brisco, Ball Greezy and Busta Rhymes for his latest debut, Ross performed hits like the R. Kelly-heavy “Speedin’” and “The Boss,” featuring T-Pain, among other soon-to-be chart toppers. Some superstar ballers came out to honor The Boss including The Heat’s Udonis Haslem and Daequan Cook and b-ball enthusiasts like Earl Barron. Pigskin warriors Edgerrin James, Chad Johnson and Bryant McKinnie to celebrate with Ross. The Boss had the crowd riled up for a few hours, but once he personally approached the center spotlights, onlookers went crazy. With VIP tickets (minus bottle service) ranging up to $150 a pop, devotees danced until 4 a.m., when Ross called it quits ... or was ready to head to his after party. With signings lined up at Miami Best Buy locations this week, it’s surprising that after the Mansion turnout, the Miami rap mogul would need anything like a strong marketing campaign..
