Amendment 2 Battle May Get Florida Election Commission Involved

Florida Red & Blue, the main organization working against Amendment 2 [which the media insists on calling the Gay Marriage Ban, even though it really should be called "The gay marriage, civil unions (even thought those two things are already illegal, but most Floridians support civil unions) and possibly domestic partnerships ban"] has filed a complaint with the Florida Election Commission against Florida4Marriage, the amendment's sponsor.

From the press release:

According to the complaint filed by Florida Red & Blue Chairman Jon Kislak, Amendment sponsors Florida4Marriage are intentionally engaged in a scheme to avoid disclosing political donations, fraudulently informing voters of the sources of advertising, failing to register or file required reports and filing false or inaccurate campaign reports.

Because of the ads and the attempt to shield donors from disclosure, Florida Red & Blue also today requested criminal investigations by State Attorneys in jurisdictions where legal violations may have occurred – Leon, Orange, Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties.
