Palin Supporters Erupt Into Racist, Anti-Media Rampage

As you may know, brave American patriots John McCain and Sarah Palin are locked in a vicious race to the White House with Bill Ayers of the Unites States Terrorist Party and his running mate Katie Couric of the National Socialist Mass Media Party.

We told you about Palin's stop in Estero yesterday where she took these dreaded terrorists/distinguished college professors to task, but her intrepid fight didn't stop there. She was also in Clearwater, Florida, yesterday where she incited a near riot, nay, a revolution against the press.

Dana Milbank, a columnist for the Washington Post, reported that after Palin blamed the media for coming off a few aerial wolf bullets short of a loaded barrel, supporters started yelling at the assembled press, and dropping a few racial slurs.

Palin then went on to blame Katie Couric's questions for her "less-than-successful interview with kinda mainstream media." At that, Palin supporters turned on reporters in the press area, waving thunder sticks and shouting abuse. Others hurled obscenities at a camera crew. One Palin supporter shouted a racial epithet at an African American sound man for a network and told him, "Sit down, boy."

You know, I always like to joke that the GOP has turned into nothing more than a party of ignorant, reactionary, easily manipulated racists. With outbursts at campaign stops like this, I'm not so sure I should be joking anymore (to a lesser degree, I also wonder whether or not I should have been joking this morning when I went out to my car and found one of my windows smashed out and thought "gee, who did I piss off on the blog this week?")
