One of positive benefits of addictive game play is that the idiots who engage in it are not, at least during all that play time, engaged in reproductive intercourse, so the gene pool is not further polluted. • Ware, thank you very much, and Doug appreciates it, too, I am sure. As to my own problems, Ware, you have no idea what certain people have done to me because of things they know I did not do. I hope the same is true for Doug, who will continue to be my friend as he will be yours. One of the problems we have in this community is self-righteous publications like the New Times whose staff fancy themselves smarter and more cool than anyone else. • I find it puzzling how any man could be accused of "indecent exposure" (whatever that is in real life, not legal terms) in a restroom? As a man, I am fully aware of male anatomy and know that it occupies space. You gotta haul out the hose to do the necessary in the necessary, so it seems to me that every male ever born has committed this apparently heinous act. If you don't want to see it, then don't look. Pretty simple, actually. When will our society grow up?

• Everyone has demons, even my good friend Doug Chumbley. Doug's career as a judge is at an end, but he is still someone whose friendship means a lot to me. I was especially pleased to see Jack Thompson's post. Even though I disagree with Jack politically and disapprove of some of his positions in litigation Jack is a friend of mine who has important things to say and has shown real courage in saying them.
