One of those dumb asses should have rotted him out the first time he did it to local cops. There are tons of local suicide programs and that's what police are for. The FBI should investigate whether NOT reporting his previous rantings about suicide are actually a crime. It should be.

As disgusted as I am by the people who met Biggs depression with apathy, I'm not surprised. As much as the internet is praised for bringing people together, the remoteness of the 'net can still have people feeling isolated from others. I can't help but wonder about those who knew Biggs in real life. More than likely he dropped hints to others in his 'real' life about his thoughts and depression, what were their responses?

I must say that it is a shame to see a loss of such a young life. My thoughts go out to the family. It would be wrong to try and place blam on the internet, after all it was not created to be used as it is used today. And shame on those that never thought to reach out to someone who was so obviously troubled and crying out for help. I, like Kjen wonder why the people that were in his life missed all of this... and sometimes I wonder why society has turned so blind to helping another in need. Compassion is a gift that too many have thrown to the wind.

The suicide programs are all failures! The american foundation for suicide is a scam.

Shooting-sprees, school-shootings & senseless-suicides will increase dramatically.

I just heard about this today and didn't know he was from Pembroke Pines. His poor family! My prayers are with them. What a tragic loss. It's beyond sad & disturbing that people can choose to be so callous & downright cruel. It's mind boggling that compassion is so seriously lacking in our society.

This kid's father is blaming everyone that watched the webcam for his son's successful suicide. How was anyone supposed to know that this wasn't a stunt? The teenager was in his own apartment and the web is a smorgasbord of the weird and absurd. He was a pathetic attention wh0re and got his wish. If that offends you, it should. Pay more attention to family and friends in real life and stop spending so much of your life in cyberland. I'm not terribly against suicide. If you want to remove yourself from the gene pool that badly, so be it. It's probably for the best. We're a society that makes survival possible for the weak and pathetic. I just can't bring myself to blame anyone for the suicide other than the teenager, himself. Take ownership and responsibility for your own decisions and actions. Stop blaming others for what "you" do.

I think its very sad so many young people believe when life don`t feel right that this is their only way out,this is abig lie from satin,the truth is GOD loves you more than you can understand and your life to him has great worth!

I HAD A FRIEND WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER THAT SHOWED SO MANY SIGNS THAT EVERYBODY MISSED AND NOW HES GONE BECAUSE OF A GUN GOING OFF IN HIS MOUTH. DEPRESSION IS A REAL SICKNESS AND ANYONE WHO DOES NOT THINK THAT DEPERSSION IS A REAL PROBLEM ESPICALLY IN TEENS IS WRONG. I DONT USUALLY WISH BAD ON PEOPLE BUT THE PEOPLE THAT EGGED HIM ON AND SAYING HE WAS A CHICKEN FOR TAKING WHAT THEY CALL THE "EASY WAY OUT" I HOPE YOU NEVER HAVE ANYONE CLOSE TO YOU DO THE SAME. AND LETS SEE HOW SYMPATHETIC YOU WILL BE THEN. HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE IN MY HEART AND PRAYERS. MAY HE REST IN PEACE AND GOD LOOKS AT THE LIFE HE HAS LED AND NOT THE WAY IT HAS ENDED.

While it is tragic, it's also pretty selfish and stupid of him to do that for his trivial reasons. There's thousands of people who go through much worse than him.

We are so insensitive about the plight of others, all we can think about is our own selfish views and viewpoints. It does'nt matter that we live in a society of have and have nots, of unequal and unfair treatment,pushisment and opportunity that your forefathers were probably slave masters ..no it always look at them never look at me or what can i do to make the world a better place for mankind at large. Shame on you ,,my brother. Please try to be more open minded and think how horrible it must be for someone to feel all hope is gone and there is seemly no where to turn. ;how could you say that this human being was not needed in the gene pool? It is very sad that this young man was crying out for help and attention and no one reached out to him.This is the type of world we are living in now. Every one is about themselves. Anytime someone says they will harm themselves or someone never take it as a joke. This may be a cry for help.

Let us not judge him for his actions. At some point in time a person can feel lost ,despair ,like no one cares and more.
Everyone cannot handle pressure the same way . Sometimes it seems there is no one to talk to or will understand you. Young people are depressed and stressed . We are people too but adults do not think so.

How can anybody say this man deserves to die or suffer? The weak and pathetic are given a chance to survive? Who are you people? Our society isnt some kind of caveman tribe where only the strongest, most gifted people survive. If that were the case Im sure all of the people who say the weak shouldnt live would be dead. The problem isnt the internet, its the culture we have. People WATCHED this and even after the kid died, they laughed. The internet gives people huge confidence in themselves and it reveals their true colors, because I can guarentee you that the people joking about this man's suicide would NEVER start laughing if they saw a person die right before his or her own eyes. As for the whole God thing, if God is merciful and forgiving, why would there even be a hell? I dont mean to attack religion since Im christian, but really I hate how people interprit the bible.

True B. No god, no hell, no sin. Do you cry when a bird dies? A worm? A bacterium? We are not unique little snowflakes, there are billions of people left and we're not gonna run out of them anytime soon.

The tragedy is what the parents go through and in their pain they lash out at others while privately asking themselves where they failed. If they failed, it's only from not knowing what a deadly disease depression is. Just because in its milder forms it does not cause death, it should not be dismissed so easily as "the blues".

And still, there are many cases where depression cannot be helped or cured by drugs or therapy - that's also the truth, yet everyone denies it and says that all can be cured. They can't and no one knows why but don't expect the medical geniuses to admit this otherwise they wouldn't look like geniuses anymore.

Repeat after me ... "we do not know everything and we never, ever, ever will".
