Weekend Football: The Big Rematch

Ugh, it is football post time again. After the Canes' face plant last night, we're a bit down on the sport. Seriously they had it all before them - a return to national prominence and the ACC title and what do they do? Give up more rushing yards than they have since 1944! 1944! America was in WWII! We Re-elected FDR! Pippi Longstocking was written! The Calculate was invented! 1944! Wha-ha-ha-ha-hat ever, Canes. Cheer us up, Fins. We need it.

New England Patriots @ Miami Dolphins, Sunday 1pm on CBS
Well now, here is the big rematch. The fledgling lil' guppies upset the mighty Patriots earlier this season with their tricky wildcat offense, but the Pats won't be caught off guard this time around. Oh, no no. They already pulled the "There's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in New Enlgand, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on you, Dolphins" card, so they're determined to follow it up with, "Fool me — you can't get fooled again" ...err something. Anyway, the Sportsarati are predicting a Pats win, but they've been wrong time and time again this season in gauging the unpredictable teal & orange.

FIU Golden Panthers are playing too. Whatever. Every time we say something about this team we look like an idiot, because we don't really care. We wish you all the luck in your future endeavors Golden Panthers, but your Riptide coverage comes to end, now. It is probably best for the both of us.
