Oy, it is not a good week for a certain type of smug yuppie. First the local smooth jazz channel turns to all guilty pleasures all the time, and now Whole Foods Market has pulled out of its plans to open a store in Downtown

The organic grocery store was set to open at Met 3, but changes in the project gave Whole Foods an out and they took it. The store would have been the only large grocery store in downtown, but developers hope to lure another market place. Meanwhile lovers of gluten-free pastries and pesticide free salad bars will have to drive their Smart cars to Whole Food's three other location in Miami-Dade.
