This past Tuesday, January 20, 2009, things changed forever. Something inside the American people clicked, something that will have repercussions for years to come. It was the realization that Aretha Franklin's bow hat is friggin' awesome, and we, as a country, would not rest until it become part of our national uniform.

Isobel Toledo, the designer of First Lady Michelle Obama's outfit, was supposed to be the sartorial superstar of the inauguration, but it turns out that Luke Song, an obscure hat maker from Detroit, stole all the buzz.

Apparently, he's been flooded with hundreds of calls inquiring about the hat. Alas, the original version is for Aretha's head only, but you can do what this nice person did for Obama and just Photoshop it on.
