Republican Officer Might Get the Boot for Racist Joke Email (Update)

Every time you think that as a nation we've made huge strides past racism, some bullshit like this brings you back to the realization that too many people are bigoted pricks.

Carol Carter, a Republican state committeewoman from Hillsborough County, recently sent out this email to a group of eight or so:

"I'm confused

How can 2,000,000 blacks get into Washington, DC in 1 day in sub zero temps when 200,000 couldn't get out of New Orleans in 85 degree temps with four days notice?"

Ridiculous. According to The Buzz, she sent out an apology email eight and half hours later, but did so with a bit of an attitude. She was mad that some of the people she upset "are not real team players." The email was sent January 30, just ten days after Barack Obama was sworn in as president of the United States, and the same day her own party elected Michael Steele as its national chairman. 

And now Florida GOP chairman Jim Greer is saying she might get booted from her position. Good.

...and she resigned. Again, good.
