There's a Bullet Shortage, Get Ready for the Apocalypse

• Blueprint For America 1. Buy rifles. They shoot further than handguns. 2. Send Nancy Pelosi and Rush Limbaugh to operate a two person weather station in Antartica for 30 years. 3. Send the most liberal 20% of our federal and state congresses to combat duty in Iraq and the most conservative 20% to combat duty in Afganistan. (If you sent them to the same place, they would frag each other.) The remaining 60% will represent 95% of us very well. 4. To be safe, go where there are lots of people, and make sure that at least half of them are private citizens legally armed. 5. Make driver's licenses as hard to get as gun cary permits. Make cell phones especially with text message capabilities harder to get than nuclear bombs. 6. Cast your own bullets, and handload your own ammunition. Just make sure you have powder and primers. This will prevent bullet makers from laughing all the way to the bank. 7. Pass comprehensive legislation to prevent financial institutions, credit card companies, hospitals, medical device suppliers, drug companies and whorehouses from overcharging in a way that would make the Mafia blush. Ask Joe (MBNA) Biden what to do and then do the opposite. 8. Legalize drugs, and tax them. Our deficit would disappear overnight, and the drug lords would be on street corners with tin cups. Then everybody who was on drugs would quit taking them because they wouldn't be cool anymore. Poppy seeds would no longer be a cash crop, and the Taliban would be un-funded. 9. Have our congress (reconfigured in step 3) to generate an improved version of the most successful legislation ever introduced-the G.I. education bill. The U.S.A. would have a brain trust that would economically blow the rest of the world away. 10. Demand that our journalists report balanced, un-biased in-depth stories on important issues, and quit pushing our hot buttons to distract us from the real problems.

• Thank you Jim, that's what I've been telling my husband this whole time. If Obama is indeed anti-gun, at this time our congress sure isn't. My suspicions were leaning toward gun and ammo manufacturers employing scare tactics in an effort to boost sales.

• I WENT TO BUY BULLETS YESTERDAY AND MY WHOLE STATE'S SUPPLY HAS BEEN BOUGHT UP BY THESE SURVIVALIST KOOKS. THESE FRIGGIN JERKS ARE THE ONES WHO ARE REALLY DANGEROUS, IN MY OPINION.
