Herald Cuts Become Clear

It's a municipal pastime in almost any city to riff on the daily paper -- and we've done our fair share -- but there's no delight in seeing those papers fall apart. Especially when names of the laid off start replacing cold, hard numbers.

New Times Broward-Palm Beach's Bob Norman has a growing list over at the Daily Pulp, as does Random Pixels. The Broward staff, features writers, business scribes, and photographers seem to have been the hardest hit.

A lot of these professionals' work I read every week. I was even interviewed by one years ago, who was one of the nicest journalist I've had the pleasure of dealing with from the other side of the media looking-glass. It doesn't bode well for the Herald that they're letting so many talented workers go.
