The Phantom Corsair may be one of the most striking one-off cars in existence. I mean, just look at the thing. The concept car was designed in the '30 by Rust Heinz (of the ketchup Heinzes), but his death ended hopes for production. It usually sits inside the National Automobile Museum in the far away land of Reno, Nevada. Luckily, the six passenger dream coup will be making a rare cross country trip to North Florida this weekend for the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance (Concours d'Elegance being French for 'parade of fancy cars you will never, ever in your life get to touch, let alone drive'). It almost, almost makes me want to drive the six hours just to see the thing. Alas, our budget only allows us the indulgence of posting pictures, but if you've got the money and the time do consider head ing up tomorrow.

Oh, and here's another quick local angle: Miami native Jim Rathmann, the 1960 Indy 500 winner, will be the weekend's guest of honor.
