The Stock Market Decided Not To Be Depressing This Week
McClatchy, the parent company of The Miami Herald, started the week at about $0.47, and despite massive layoffs at The Herald, finished the week up at $0.54. Still a far cry from when it was trading around $10 a year ago.
Lennar got a whopping 41.5% rise, starting at $6.11, and closing today at $8.49, its highest close in about a month. Burger King gained a 6.19% boost. Perry Ellis, Inc. is up 5.03% for the week.
