The fine country of Austria reported its first case of swine flu today according to the World Health Organization. The patient, a 28-year-old woman, who recently returned from a trip to Guatemala to visit her parents, is expected to recover.

The woman flew from Guatemala to an airport in Mexico City and then to Miami. She stayed in town several days before returning to Vienna with a layover in Dusseldorf, Germany. She first experienced symptoms during her flight and immediately checked into a hospital upon her return.

So yes, it seems very likely that someone with swine flu was in town for a few days. Should we panic just yet? Probably not. Unless you were in close proximity with an Austrian tourist. No, seriously, please don't panic.
