Hats The Musical Starring Senator Frederica Wilson

State Senator Frederica Wilson has Practical hats. She has dramatical hats. She also has pragmatical hats, fanatical hats, oratorical hats, delphioracle hats, skeptical hats, dispeptical hats, romantical hats, pedantical hats, critical hats, parasitical hats, and so on and so forth.

Herald/Times Tallahassee bureau just put up a 731 word article on her hats! Which is probably not as many words as Wilson has hats.

Though, not everyone likes her hats, because not everyone is a wonderful person who appreciates such beauty. A fellow senator at one point tried to raise the issue with the Senate president.

"I don't believe that with all the problems the we're having in this state, with education, with health and human services, with inmates, 100,000 people in prison, mentally ill people living under a bridge, and this lady is concerned about me wearing a hat?" Wilson says at one point in an accompanying video.

You could replace "this lady," with "this Tallahassee bureau of two of the State's most important newspapers" and have a valid point, but luckily neither Wilson or the reporter realizes this. Because her hat collection is fascinating, and it gives us another reason to post the wonderful accompanying blingee. Thank you to everyone involved in the creation of this article.

Wilson, it should be noted has declared her intention to run to replace Rep. Kendrick Meek (who is running for Senate) in the US House of Representatives. Is Nancy Pelosi ready for all these hats? Let's hope so.

Don't fall for the distraction tactic. Apparently there are elements out there that want the citizens to focus on her hats rather than what is contained in the brain under the hat and her knowledge and skills required for what needs to be done for the State and Country. Be on guard citizens!
Enjoy the hats and more importantly love the person wearing them. Says so much about wanting to make a difference. Sometimes it takes getting noticed that starts the ball rolling toward making that difference. All I can say is - God's speed

I must agree with the others that most of the comments were made out of ignorance. Being from the South we were taught that a lady wears a hat and gloves. I simply love it and if I could I would wear a hat every day also. I may not have 300 but I certainly have over 100 hats and I enjoy wearing them when I go to church without one the young people ask me where is my hat. You go Mrs. Wilson continue to teach women and especially black women how to dress with class and dignity, you look simply marvelous. God Bless
It is sad, reading the comments concerning the hats,race and political agenda of this woman. As a Black person myself, I can see the black-on-black hate for one another. our ancestors faught and died for this moment in our lifes. And here we sit in front of our computers and spit on their graves. When did we stop praying or one another and start throughing daggers at each other. If this woman is not who you think she is suppose to be, pray, volunteer, write to her, help her and the same goes for OUR PRESIDENT. Why do the white, yellow, or brown man brother to belittle us when we do such a hell-of-a-job ourselves.
I feel the comments I have read are written by very ignorant people. Who cares what she wears? Is she a good representative for the people? Until recently, a woman NEVER left the house with her head incovered it was considered tacky and unsophisticated. Go girl! Wear those hats, at least you wear modest attire, more than most anchor women I have seen reporting he news!
I have no problem with it. I wish more women would hats like stay used to. If one studies culture many black and southern still carry on the tradion as do the british. Once hats are bought they stay around forver! I love hats! Would wear them more often if I did not feel like an outccast wearing one!
