Sometimes when you make a post about something, you feel indebted to blog about any major updates in the story. Other times, you find a picture so marvelous you need to find any excuse to use it. So here we are continuing our coverage of Perez Hilton v. Will.i.am: Boom Boom Pow-gate '09.

Of course, gossip powerhouse TMZ has already procured a video of the incident. Perez is clearly caught on tape telling Mr. I.am: "You're not a fucking artist [ed: true]. You're a fucking faggot [ed: not true]." The actual violence, allegedly Black Eyed Peas manager Polo Molina punching Perez, isn't clear, but based on crowd reaction, Gawker has dubbed it a total slap fight.

But wait -- it gets better. GLAAD, a leading gay rights group, is now demanding an apology from Hilton for using the anti-gay remark.

"These are vulgar anti-gay slurs that feed a climate of hatred and intolerance toward our community. For someone in our own community to use it to attack another person by saying that it is, quote, 'The worst possible thing that thug would ever want to hear,' is incredibly dangerous. It legitimizes use of a slur that is often linked to violence against our community," GLAAD flak Rashad Robinson said in a written statement.

Hilton, of course, is indignant.

"I am saddened GLAAD chose to victimize me further by criticizing me for how I non-violently dealt with a very scary situation that, unfortunately, turned violent," Hilton said. "While I doubt I will get an apology from GLAAD, nor do I expect one, I would just hope people know how difficult it is to intellectualize a situation and think rationally when a thug disguised as a musician is screaming at your face and intimidating you."

Yes, Perez, please let the world know about the danger of thug-dressed-as-musician-on-gossip-blogger violence. It truly is one of our greatest national concerns. And I don't want to get to PC here, and maybe it's just because I went to "Thug U," but isn't thug pretty much a racially loaded term now? Whatever.

Now with all of that squared away, may we never blog about this again.
