MIA Will Not Accept Chewed-Up Passports

Here's a cute golden retriever to illustrate this blog post.
A 17-year-old Wisconsin boy was on his way to a trip in Peru with his Spanish class. Only problem was that his passport had been previously used as a chew toy by his family's 1-year-old golden retriever, Sunshine.

Officials at Chicago's O'Hare Airport were like, "Yeah, it's cool. It still works," so he went off on his way to Miami International before connecting to Peru. Once there, MIA Customs officials -- keeping with the general mood of the airport: horrible -- wouldn't let him leave the country.

If he wanted to practice his Spanish, the terminals of MIA are probably just as good as Peru anyhow.
