The Miami-Dade School Board took a long, hard look at the dangers of sexting last night.

"Sexting" is one of those salacious topics the media has blown out of proportion because it sounds funny, and worries parents at the same time it secretly appeals to perves. It is basically the practice of writing out dirty messages or taking cellphone pix of your naughty parts and texting them to your paramour.

It really hasn't been a problem in schools it seems, as far as the School Board knows, but they're going to go ahead and make a policy about it anyway, because why not? It happened at White & Case, so it might happen it the classrooms.

A strict no sexting policy will be written into the student conduct code, and the Board will enact an educational campaign about the dangers of sexting.
