Two men in latex briefs grappling each other is often the centerpiece of a WresleMania event.
We weren't aware WrestleMania was one of those things cities actually bid for, but apparently it's big business and has morphed into a five-day event that could leave a $50 million impact in direct spending alone and attract around 45,000 visitors.

Miami-Dade is in the finals to host the event in either 2011 or 2012, according to Miami Today. The commission should know if they'll play host to the World Wrestling Entertainment event within a month.

The pay-per-view main event would likely be held at LandShark stadium on a Sunday. The American Airlines Arena would then host the weekly Raw show the following night. While South Beach would host fan events and concerts through out the week.

"There's so much power behind it -- it's the size basically of a Super Bowl," said José "Pepe" Diaz, sports commission chair to Miami Today. "To us it's huge; financially it's incredible."

In other random WWE news, the company's CEO and occasional onscreen character Linda McMahon is running for Senate from Connecticut in 2010 as a Republican. Here is just about every joke you'll read about it in the next 14 months.
