The game, played at the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey, was marred by high winds coming from the northwest. (Buffalo, NY, is northwest of East Rutherford, NJ.) Superstar QB Mark Sanchez was fantastic again, but threw five interceptions because of the wind. His QB rating -- which some say is an inaccurate measure of performance -- was 8.3. His mustache rating, however, was 151.8.
The Jets outgained the Bills 414 yards to 296, clearly displaying their dominance, especially in the rushing game. Running back Thomas Jones had a career high 210 yards and later rightfully attributed the loss to "misfortune."
Spectators testified to seeing several witch doctors casting spells from Section 230. There is also evidence that Buffalo Bills coach Dick Jauron used a series of mirrors to create an elaborate illusion that made Lindell's kick appear to be good, when it actually flew 53 yards in the other direction and went through the opposite goal posts, winning the game for the Jets.
The Jets record in the NFL is 3-3. However, in Middle Earth, the Jets are 6-0, and head coach Rex Ryan is a very slender and powerful wizard.
