Crist Relates to Tebow's Tears

Tim Tebow Crying.jpg
Gov. Charlie Crist is a Noles fan, but it's not so surprising that he can relate to Gators quarterback Tim Tebow.

UF had high hopes of repeating its national championship and was the favorite throughout the regular season. Tebow, meanwhile, was talked about as a potential Heisman double winner, but this past Saturday, an insurgent Alabama Crimson Tide took all of that away, and the QB wept tears over his Bible-passage-emblazoned eyeblack.

Much like how Charlie Crist began his bid for Senate as the almost-guaranteed winner but is seeing his chances threatened by an insurgent Marco Rubio and might be weeping some tears of his own.

Really, is there that much of a difference between the SEC and the GOP anyway? Both of them are a bunch of crazed Southerners.

"I certainly can understand it. He's put his heart and soul into another great season for the University of Florida, and how can you not have that kind of passion when you've put so much effort into it? I think he's a great Floridian, and he's much more of a great human being than he is a quarterback, in my humble opinion," Crist told the St. Pete Times.

Also, did you know Jacksonville has an NFL team? I'm not sure the people of Jacksonville are even aware of the fact, because none of them seems to be buying tickets. Your Miami Dolphins will play there this week, in fact.

Anyway, amid rumors that the Jaguars might soon be on the hunt for a new home, Crist says he's talked to the owners about a plan for the team to draft Tim Tebow. The QB grew up in the area, and the hometown hero might boost ticket sales. The only question, though, is if he could help boost scores in the NFL.

Did you notice how his eye-black almost predicted the final score?
Now that's some Magic Jesus power.

As if the SEC couldn't be more obnoxious - the image of Tebow with tears running down his water-proof bible verse will forever seal it for me.
