Road Rage: Miami Road Named 10th Worst Commute in the Country

​The surprise here is not that a Miami-Dade road was named in the top ten of The Daily Beat's "75 Worst Commutes" listacle. The real surprise is that there are actually nine commutes in the country that are worse, and that only one South Florida road-way made the cut. 

Airport Expressway (State Road 112) takes the dishonor of being the 10th worst commute in the entire country. Tina Brown's magical internet link-bait machine says that there are 183 hours a week of traffic congestions, and that cars traveling in the worst bottleneck spot, Eastbound, 72nd Avenue/Milam Dairy Road, reach an average of about 16.3 mph during congestion.

The Daily Beast calculated the cities with the worst traffic congestion and then identified the most congested stretch of road in the area. Taking top honors was of course Los Angeles' infamous Hollywood Freeway.
