Jets Coach Rex Ryan Fined $50,000 for Flipping Off Dolphins Fans

The picture of Jets coach Rex Ryan's now-infamous flip-off of a few heckling Miami Dolphins fans quickly made their way around the media and not surprisingly into the front office in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Ryan has been fined $50,000. That's more than the average American makes in a year, but it's pocket change in the NFL (God bless reckless economic disparity).

Ryan's middle finger was caught on cell phone cam when a few Dolphans spotted Ryan at a mixed martial arts event at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise over the weekend.

They dutifully informed him the Jets are an inferior franchise that is prone to serious amounts of sucking, while the Dolphins are clearly a better quality and higher caliber sporting concern. Ryan flipped 'em off, because that's how they do in Joisey.

He apologized, but that didn't stop the Jets from fining him. Ryan could still face penalties from the NFL.
