Thirteen Florida Mayors to Be Literally Thrown Out of an Airplane
|via Golden Knights AA|
Of course the mayors will have parachutes and will jump with the Army's Golden Knights parachute team at the Homestead Air Reserve Base. Once they land, they'll sign a document pledging continuing support to the military.
All in all, 13 mayors will participate. You'd think they'd be nervous about risking their lives with such an unlucky number. Though, there's still two more spots left if any other mayor's are interested. Regalado? Bower? Robaina? You interested?
The event was organized by Coral Gables mayor Don Slesnick. Also making the 12,000 foot trip from the sky to the ground, according to the Sun-Sentinel, are Manuel Marono of Sweetwater; Andre Pierre of North Miami; John Workman of Palm Beach Shores; Peter Bober of Hollywood; Paul Vrooman of Cutler Bay; Beth Flansbaum-Talabisco of Tamarac; Myron Rosner of North Miami Beach; Gary Bruhn of Windermere; Joy Cooper of Hallandale Beach; Roger Wishner of Sunrise; Pat Kelley of Minneola in Lake County; and Mary Lou Hildreth of Keystone Heights in Clay County.
Anyway, the event will not be open to the public.
