The mother of Orlando Zapata Tamayo, who died February 23 after an 86-day hunger strike, was hospitalized. She is a member of the Women in White, who are relatives of jailed dissidents.
The protests come after dissident journalist Guillermo Farinas was hospitalized after embarking on a hunger strike to protest Zapata's death. Other hunger strikers have lined up willing to take their lives to protest the Castro brother's oppressive totalitarian regime.
